Partial Crates

You may not be aware, but crating can be used for more than just a shipping container. We recently had a customer that needed the material they were transporting to be covered to help deter thieves.

Here is a picture of the material before we started the project.

And another view. The labeled wrap on the material is visible to anyone. That issue was what our client wanted to avoid, especially for the transportation of the goods.

So, we took the typical crating to a different level. But, we were able to maintain the use of our clients original materials. We simply crated around the wrap!

This crating allows a level of privacy and security of the contents being shipped.

The covers also allow protection during storage. They add a barrier not just from viewing the contents, but some of the elements as well.

If you have any projects that require partial, or full crating, just let us know!

Welcome Our Newest Team Member!

We are thrilled to announce that we have a new member in our Crating Technology family!
Let us introduce you to..... Monica McKnight!

A little background about Monica:
Spent over 20 years in the mortgage industry as sales support, customer service, processing, and underwriting. She also managed a small processing department.
During her time at the mortgage company, she created and wrote all policies and procedures for the company. And, she developed the training and compliance processes.

After her long career in the mortgage industry, she changed gears a bit. Her next position was an administrative assistant for a large Tempe church. In her time there, she helped to develop and manage the family ministry program. And, she provided direct support to the Executive Pastor.

Eventually, she ended up parting ways with that position. Education was a primary goal in life that she held in the highest regard. And she felt it was time to put hers first. Obtaining her Bachelor's degree was the full time path she was pursuing.

Monica completed her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. And currently, she is working on a dual major for Psychology and Criminal Justice, with only two semesters to go! She chose those fields because they genuinely interested her. Not to mention, she had already gained a business education hands on during her expansive career! We are quite fortunate that she decided to seek employment now that her goal degrees are within reach!

On a personal note, Monica loves quilting and is really quite talented! She also loves that her husband does not keeps tabs on her craft supply inventory. LOL!

Welcome to the team Monica!

Crating of a Photon Genius

Recently, we have had the pleasure to crate these Photon Genius machines. These machines certainly define "Handle With Care".

First, the machine is wrapped by its parent company. Then, they deliver to us.

Once the delivery to us is complete and machine inspected, the crating begins. Since the photos were taken of this machine, we have slightly changed the process. The Photon Genius also gets wrapped before being crated. As an added level of protection.

The crates are custom designed then created. This shows some of the foam we use in each crate.

It takes finesse to maneuver this machine and place it in the safest position possible for it's travels. Next step will be enclosing the crate and sending it on its way!

Final destination! These Photon Genius machines really are pieces of art, on top of their impressive functions!

Thanks again!

Crating a Cruiser Moped

If you happen to have a cruiser moped you need crated, we can do it!
This was a recent job we had the pleasure to package to be shipped to Russia.
This bike was no ordinary bike. It is a moped cruiser with a gas tank and all!

First, we wanted to be sure the bike was properly strapped down to prohibit movement for its upcoming overseas travel.

This bike is pretty impressive!

We also made sure the gas tank had even more extra protection.

Wrapping the entire bike in our vapor barrier wrap was the next step. Because it could faces temperature and humidity changes during transit, the vapor barrier will keep it extra protected.

Once the vapor barrier is in place, we move on to finishing the rest of the wood crate.

Shockwatch labels are in place, all required stamps and stencils are visible, its ready to go!

And just a reminder, we can crate on-site, off-site, or build and deliver crates to you.

Just let us know what you need. Crating Technology services all of Arizona for your crating needs.

Vapor Barrier and Custom Crating

If you were ever curious just how our custom crating process goes, take a look....
In this example, we are protecting and crating a large piece of machinery.
It is a custom designed and built wood crate.

We first stabilize the base of the crate to ensure that there will be no movement of the machine during transportation.

We then add the vapor barrier wrap to the machine to give added protection from the elements.

Once the machine is securely protected with the vapor barrier wrap, we proceed to build the crate around it.

Before completing the custom crate, we secure the top of the machine. This is yet another way to secure the machine during transportation.

Once the crate is complete, we can add Shockwatch labels, stencil drawings, and even paperwork to make communication for transport more clear.

The crate is finished! And, we have even added a photo of the piece of machinery to the outside of the crate to allow for quick identification of the contents of the crate.

Call us today for your crating needs. We are experts in designing and building custom crates, trade-show crates, over seas crates, and more!

We service the entire state of Arizona and estimates are free!

Now CPR Certified!

Safety is a core value for us at Crating Technology. So, we decided to take things to the next level. Just the other weekend, Phoenix Fire Department was kind enough to lead us in an on-site CPR  certification class for our employees.

It was a very thorough and well presented class. Not only were they very clear in explaining processes, etc, but they gave great detail with the hands on instruction.

Each employee had to take the skills they were educated on, and perform them correctly. Since completing this class, we are proud to say that all of our employees are now CPR certified!

We certainly could not have done this without the help of The Phoenix Fire Department. Thank you!
